PITFEST 2020 HAS BEEN POSTPONED
We currently find ourselves in a situation that Pitfest 2020 has to be postponed, due to the Covid-19 situation in the World and the bans by the Dutch government.
After checking the availability of not only the bands but also the location, suppliers etc, we have to postpone the event to 2021. By doing so, we will be able to deliver the line-up of bands that you were expecting to see.
The new dates for Pitfest V are June 3, 4 and 5, 2021.
Over the course of the last weeks, we have been working tirelessly to gather as many of the same bands to play on the new dates. So we're pleased to say that, as of now, 36 of the 41 originally scheduled bands have already committed to play on the new dates.
Should any of the other bands not be able to confirm in the upcoming months, they will be replaced.
We understand that moving the dates could be a huge inconvenience for many. But as the World is shutting down around us, there isn't much we can do about it. A lot of unrecoverable money has already been invested into the event and the bands that were scheduled to perform.
This postponement is obviously a huge headache and will lead to a loss of money for us. We are just a couple of passionate underground promoters that wanted to bring you another kickass festival, but this change is the only way that would make it possible. We truly appreciate your support and understanding during this difficult time.
All tickets remain valid for the new dates!
Anyone that purchased online tickets will receive e-mail instructions from Eventree, regarding the possible steps.
The updated flyer can be seen here. It includes all of the bands that have already confirmed for the new dates.

Ich gehe von einer Verschiebung auf 2021 aus und fände das unter diesen Umständen richtig.

Bin gespannt, wie sie das dann mit dem neuen Album handhaben. Bleibt das dann noch eine Legacy Tour, kommt davor vielleicht noch das neue Album, hat das dann Auswirkungen auf die Setlist, wird die neue Scheibe evtl. dann doch auf nach die Tour verschoben, können sie es sich in dem Alter überhaupt leisten so lange zu warten? Fragen über Fragen.....

Man merkt zwar, daß sie warten bis es wirklich keine andere Möglichkeit mehr gibt, aber wie gesagt, die komplette Verschiebung wird unausweichlich sein.
In der Zwischenzeit das neue Album raus bringen ist auch zweischneidig.
Einerseits müssten sie dann wenigstens ein, zwei Songs in die Setlist einbauen,um das Album zu promoten oder sie warten bis nach der Legacy Tour, dann ist das Album aber schon wieder vergessen,weil mindestens ein Jahr seit der Veröffentlichung vergangen sind.
Oder sie warten mit der Veröffentlichung bis nach der Legacy Tour,dann ist das Album aber auch schon wieder zwei Jahre "alt" und die Tour zum Album müsste dann zügig im Anschluss erfolgen.
Da wäre Nicko dann fast 70...

Ich rechne ja eigentlich nicht mehr wirklich mit irgendwelchen Sommerfestivals aber falls doch hat das abriegeln der tschechischen Grenze durchaus was positives: dann treten wenigstens nirgends Gutalax auf
