Die grandiose Roksnax-Compilation ist bekanntlich 2017 auf Buried By Time And Dust wiederveröffentlicht worden. Hier kann man ein paar extrem spannende Aussagen der beteiligten Bands sowie des Labelchefs zu der Compilation und ihrem Entstehungsprozess lesen.

Das Teil ist wirklich ein absolutes Muss für jeden, der sich irgendwie mit der Bewegung identifizieren kann. Drei tolle Bands, die allesamt wirklich Metal spielen, die vielen Grenzbereiche von Hardrock bis Psychedelic also nicht ausloten. Auch so etwas ist in vielen Fällen reizvoll, aber Roksnax spiegelt für mich die Aufbruchsstimmung, die Energie junger Bands perfekt wider.

Lowestoft's unsung heroes...formed in 1978 at the beginning of the NWOBHM inspired by Budgie,Zeppelin and ACDC. They gigged mainly around the East of England supporting Hawkwind,Samson and even their heroes Budgie! By 1982 they had completed two demos and even made a small appearance in Kerrang #12 in the armed and ready section . The demo tapes were strong,killer material recalling the best material from AIIZ,FIST and HOLLOW GROUND with some more progressive elements of Apocalypse or Bleak House.
The lp will include both 1980 and 1982 demos and gig poster.

Die göttlichen Dawnwatcher erhalten endlich ihren Rerelease. Progressiv angehauchter Riff-Rock mit dominanten Synth-Leads, die das Gehörte in Richtung Triarchy, Marquis de Sade und Sanctus schieben. Ganz, ganz wunderbarer und ziemlich einzigartig klingender Stoff....


Keine Ahnung, ob Barbarian Records aus Ungarn hier eine offizielle Veröffentlichung fabriziert haben, und leider sind auch nicht alle damaligen Songs dieser tollen Band enthalten, aber letztendlich bin ich dann doch froh, dass sich endlich mal jemand einer meiner allerliebsten NWOBHM Truppen angenommen hat.

Anfang März ist folgendes Buch bei Constable erschienen:

352 Seiten in englischer Sprache. Nun frage ich mich, ob man dieses Buch braucht, wenn sich z.B. schon 'Neat & Tidy', 'Suzi Smiled' und 'The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Encyclopedia' in der eigenen Sammlung befinden. Oder anders gefragt: Hat jemand von euch dieses Buch und kann was darüber sagen?
