Über Discogs habe ich mal bei ihm bestellt.
War davon ab ein super netter Kontakt, faire Preise etc. Wusste beim Bestellen gar nicht, dass er hinter dem Account steckt. Als das Paket ankam staunte ich dann, weil er als Absender seine Adresse darauf gezeichnet! hat. Sein Name sah aus wie so ein Blackmetal Logo mit umgedrehten Kreuzen und allem.
Die Adresse war aber, wenn mich nicht alles täuscht, in Berlin.
Habe sie nicht aufgehoben.

Ich würde denken, der war genervt wegen der Einreiseproblematik beim Never Surrender.

Abgesehen davon ist Mexico halt auch dicht an den USA und vieles was da spielt kommt aus der Ecke (also Nord- und Südamerika).

Da hab ich grundsätzlich nichts dagegen, wollte nur die Beweggründe wissen, warum man von Berlin abgekommen ist.

Laut YK war Berlin beliebt wegen der günstigen Flügen aus Übersee, der zentralen Lage in Europa und weil wohl die Visa für Musiker aus Nord- und Südamerika nicht so komplex und teuer zu beschaffen waren wie in anderen Ländern. Die Coronamaßnahmen bei der Einreise (zumindest zum Tag der Absage) haben das wohl unattraktiv gemacht. Flüge, Veranstaltungstechnik und Logistik sind auch noch teurer geworden.

Davon ab, das zweite Never Surrender fand in Oakland statt. NWN! hat da immer auch eigene Sachen gemacht, und seit dem Umzug nach Texas ist wohl Mexiko näher dran. Denke, es wird auch zukünftig wieder in Deutschland ein NSF geben. Wäre halt spannend, ob das in Deutschland dann eher ein IBP Labelfest und in den USA ein NWN! Festival wird.

Dead Christ DLP is out now!!!!

Spawning from the cryptic realms of Bristol at the dawn of the 90ies, Dead Christ was the original British Black Metal cult and ruled on that scene during the very early days of the second wave of Black Metal. While fully integrated into the original Black Metal underground, from a time when originality and individuality prevailed, Dead Christ drew their influences from the British Extreme Grindcore/skinhead scene and the Black Metal tradition of the 80ies. They were among the few bands to develop their sound in the most extreme and brutal direction, not so far from bands like Beherit, Bestial Summoning, Impaled Nazarene, Impurity and of course Blasphemy (with the last two they also shared the Black Metal Skinheads look). As they progressed, they traded part of their grindcore aggressivity for a more mid-paced, doomy Black Metal. Obsessed by horror movies and Charles Manson, they managed to record three demos and two EPs before returning to dust around late '93.

This DLP includes all the Dead Christ recordings, restored straight from the masters for most of the material. You have never heard Dead Christ in such perfect quality and should allow you to appreciate the darkness of their sound in the best conditions. For the very first time the '92 unreleased studio EP is made available! Maybe their best recording, it was supposed to be released by a now notorious greek rip-off (still active and cheating to very this day) and bitterly shelved until now.

The DLP also includes a 36 pages A4 booklet that features a new in depths interview with the Necrobutcher (original singer) conducted by snail mail, liner notes on all their releases by Churchcrusher and a huge collection of old zines interviews, reviews, never published pictures, promo materials and other memorabilia.
