Schon, aber kenn die neuen Bands alle nicht mehr. Antaeus und Wolvennest find ich gamz cool. Solstafir sind ganz ok, Tribultion warn es bis zum ersten Album, aber dann... . Auroch sind Ok und Mgla, die zum Hype gewordenen Ultralangweiler. Den Rest kenn ich nicht...

King Dude könnte auch was für mich sein, aber Touren wegen pc-Gebimmel absagen geht halt garnicht...

Genau das! Dazu noch mit Mgla eine der wichtigsten Black Metal-Bands der Gegenwart und wunderbare Farbtupfer wie King Dude, Wolvennest und die absolut grossartigen Kælan Mikla-Mädels. :feierei:

Bericht wird es auf jeden Fall geben! Für mich wird das wohl ein ziemlich spezielles Erlebnis, da ich noch nie nördlich von Dänemark war (gab mal nen Arbeitseinsatz in Aarhus). Okay, einmal eine Zwischenlandung in Helsinki - aber das zählt nicht.
 
Wow! Geiles line up! Da ich noch nie in island war, könnte das mal auf die to do liste. Leider nur nächstes jahr nicht möglich :/
 
Falls hier doch noch jemand mit dem Gedanken spielt, dort hinzufahren, hier ein paar neue Infos:

! IMPORTANT !

Further information regarding camping, shuttle buses, and new line-up additions;

CAMPING:

- There is a camping site approximately 5 minutes walk from the venue. It accommodates 50 tents and costs 1,200kr (€9/$10) per night/per person.
- Contact 'bolid@mos.is' to book your space. For those who have already made booking requests, you will receive an answer in the coming days..
- Please bear in mind that we do not run this camping area ourselves. It is run by the town of Mosfellsbaer, so please contact them directly at the aforementioned email address if you have additional questions.

SHUTTLE BUSES:

- It is possible to book a place on a shuttle bus for all days of the festival.
- Busses will depart from BSÍ in Reykjavík and will be in operation only before the festival and after the festival (i.e. they will not run throughout the day). A more exact schedule will be announced in due course.
- Tickets will cost 5,500kr (€40/$45). This will cover the journey both to and from BSÍ and Hlégarður for all days of the festival.
- Tickets MUST be secured by pre-order. It will not be possible to purchase a ticket at the festival or on the bus itself.
- Bus tickets will be available to purchase in the coming days from here;

LINE-UP ADDITIONS:

Tomorrow, we will announce a new addition to the Ascension MMXIX line-up. Expect line-up additions on a weekly basis for some time to come. Additionally, we are not longer taking applications from bands - the line-up has been decided!

Last but not least, some of you may have noticed, we started an Ascension Festival Iceland Facebook and Instagram page with the announcement of the festival. If you are not already following those pages, please do so!
 
Leider bekommt mein Kumpel im Juni keinen Urlaub und es wird wohl erst Ende August oder September werden mit der Island Reise.
Sehr schade, aber ich Versuche es positiv zu sehen: mehr Zeit für Islands Natur und Landschaft.

Wenn ich mir dieses Traum-Lineup so ansehe, könnte es für's Roadburn dieses Jahr in der Kategorie "Festival des Jahres" echt knapp werden. ;)
 
Bin zu der Zeit vermutlich in Island, ob man da noch spontan Tickets bekommt? Wir reisen einmal um die Insel und müsste ungefähr zum Festival wieder zurück in Reykjavík sein
 
Haben vor 5 Jahren das Eistnaflug besucht, als es noch klein und authentisch war. Haben natürlich auch die obligatorische Rundreise gemacht. Eine Woche sollte man dafür schon einplanen.

Klingt gut! Ich habe mir neben dem Festival nur 2 volle Tage für Sightseeing gegönnt: Voraussichtlich werde ich am ersten Reykjavik erkunden und am zweiten an einer Tour teilnehmen (Tipps?). Da auch die Kumpels unbedingt mal nach Island reisen wollen, wird das aber bestimmt nicht der letzte Besuch sein... ;)

Treha Sektori ist praktisch, weil ich die (am an Highlights eh schon völlig überlasteten) Roadburn-Donnerstag somit ohne schlechtem Gewissen auslassen kann. ;)
