Nein bin nur Fan und kann auch nur sagen: die Jungs sind fast alle regelmässig bei Konzerten und Veranstaltungen rund um Rock und Heavy Metal und da kann man immer auf ein Bier über Musik, Steve Harris und die Welt fachsimpeln in normalem Ton.

Urgent news concerning the releasedate of Dawn of the Axe!
As there were some fuck ups in the chain of logistics, the album has already been sent out to some of you by accident, whereas the release date was set to September 22nd! As we think it would be unfair to the those who now weren't as 'fortunate', we will set a new releasedate to August 18th! We will start packing up all orders this weekend and send them out to you next week, so everybody has their album by Friday! You can still order some of the remaining copies of Dawn of the Axe through our BigCartel shop. To those who ordered the album with a tape or some of the current rereleases of our first 2 albums, we don't have them yet and will send everything out once it has arrived (approximately 2-4 weeks). We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but this is beyond our control.
We are absolutely pissed off by that fact (this has nothing to do with our label Shadow Kingdom Records, they are absolutely great!) as we are working on merchandise and on a good presentation in general but this just sucks. To quote Steve Harris: 'it is what it is, we gotta deal with it'. That's what we do. We'll keep our heads high to bang them down soon with all of you! FUCK THE WORLD!

Ich fand das Interview im Heft sehr symphatisch. Vor allem die Idee erstmaldie Szene erstmal eine Zeit passiv zu erleben für neue Inspiration. Keith von Deströyer hat ja auch schonmal ähnliches gesagt. Gefällt mir.
Gibt ja auch immer wieder diese Bands, die sagen, daß sie kaum Musik hören (oder nur altes oder anderes). Das find ich immer eher merkwürdig.

Völlig unerwartet kam heute ein Paket von HRR hier reingeflogen und beinhaltete das neue Cruel Force Scheibchen. Unerwartet, weil ich den 18. September als Release im Kopf hatte.
Scheibe dreht gerade ihre erste Runde aufm Teller. Klingt alles sehr geil und eben nach Cruel Force. Ein genaueres Urteil traue ich mir jetzt noch nicht zu.

Das Album ist wie aus einem Guss. Kein Stinker dabei. Power Surge poliert einen auch ordentlich die Schnauze. Und Across The Styx wirkt mit dem Instrumental davor irgendwie noch geiler.

Das Album ist vor allem eines und das ist überraschend. Ich dachte, man bekommt ein schmissiges SommerHit-Album vor den Latz gesetzt - stattdessen sehe ich hier ein Album was mich stark an das Eternal Champion-Debut erinnert. Man muss sich die Sachen ein wenig erarbeiten, vieles ist ein wenig vertrackt. Das gefällt mir richtig gut bislang.

Ich find' das sind zwei ganz unterschiedliche Alben, auf der einen Seite kauziger Heavy Metal a la Manilla Road, auf der anderen Seite Black/Thrash Metal wie zu Zeiten von Kreator - Pleasure to Kill. Wobei das Cover-Artwork thematisch eine Hommage an alte HM-Klassiker darstellt.

Starkes Album. Läuft hier bislang leider nur digital, da die LPs noch nicht da sind.
Ich finde, die Herangehensweise der Band hat sich etwas geändert. Das Grundgerüst ist mehr klassischer Heavy Metal als früher. Dazu kommt etwas 1. Welle Black Metal und ne Prise Thrash. Eigentlich eine LP wie geschaffen für Dying Victims.
