Wie einige bestimmt mitbekommen haben, musste Manolis das aktuelle Up the Hammers Festival verschieben.
Etliche Bands konnten nicht anreisen und einige der tourenden Bands sind aufgrund der aktuellen Situation zurückgereist.

Um den finanziellen Schaden zumindest bisschen einzudämmen haben sich einige Bands paar Aktionen ausgedacht.

Wer paar Euronen übrig hat soll dieses Festival unterstützen !

Good morning, everyone!

Please don't send us anymore mail regarding the shirt. It seems it's sold out. We'll try to answer all mail, which reached us during last night today.

Blown away by the overwhelming support. The scene is alive and well it seems. And this is a nice thought amidst these dire times. With the virus also a feeling of solidarity is spreading. We really can't thank you enough!

Currently we're counting what is still left and then we'll post some more info about the remaining shirts.

Atlantean Kodex :

Ok, the suitcases are unpacked again and we've tried to figure something out amidst the early-morning-chaos. First of all thanks for your mature and understanding reaction, this really means a lot to us.

Here we go: this is the "Lion Of Chaldea"-shirt we were planning to sell at Up The Hammers and next week at the –also cancelled – Heavy Metal Thunder Festival in the Czech Republic.

50% of the profit from the sales will go to the organizers of UP THE HAMMERS FESTIVAL festival. It's not much, but at least it's a start and maybe an inspiration for other bands, which were forced to cancel as well.
To make it count, we decided to price it a little higher. We had planned to sell it for 15 € in Athens, now it's 20 € (including shipping in Germany) and 22 € (including worldwide shipping).
Don't worry there's one left for everyone (even girlieshirts!), like stated before, we printed a whole truckload...

We are saddened by the state of affairs surrounding the UP THE HAMMERS FESTIVAL, and all of our friends who are stuck in travel limbo trying to make it home and who have been forced to cancel touring plans. All of these bands, and the festival itself are run by regular people, not big corporations, and situations like these are cause for the true heavy metal community to rally and support them. Hi there everyone.
Unfortunately Main fest and warm up is cancelled. Sleepless the last two weeks from the stress of this madness coming upon us, not knowing what to really do as I am not a doctor or a scientist. I am though responsible for hundreds people who spend money, made travel plans to attend the festival and 22 foreign bands. The burden organizing the festival was always too heavy for me but somehow in the end it worked despite random bullshit here and there. The festival gave me some of the greatest moments in my life that I will forever keep with me and they are too many to be mentioned here. This day came though that everything was not perfect in the festival and people driven by their panic of the current situation started bullying me for refunds as if we did the biggest mistake and we didn’t prove anything the last 15 years. As if we didn’t payed all the flights and got 0 refunds, As if we didn’t payed Shuttles, As if we didn’t payed promo, As if we didn’t payed hotels twice since our original Hotel was taken by the banks on Wednesday before the festival. As if the first thing we should do in this madness was to respond to everyone how and if they will get their money back. As if there was a magic solution that was solving all problems and we didn't take it. In any case, this is our decision Tickets for warm up and main festival will be used again when we manage again to set up the festival. Date will be announced ASAP In case you cant make it you will most likely be able to sell them online. Up the hammers 2021 is certainly happening with the bands we promised and more will be announced soon. The money to rebuild Up the hammers XV again will be payed by us but I am not sure what the future will bring as all this is just too much for me. Sorry for all the problems we caused with this cancellation.

Hat noch jemand Interesse daran, sich daran zu beteiligen? Bei gemeinschaftlicher Bestellung (erfordert natürlich etwas logistisches Geschick und Geduld, um die Shirts dann später ohne Kosten zu verteilen) ließe sich unter Umständen ca. die Hälfte der Versandkosten pro Shirt einsparen bzw. als Spende draufschlagen. Vorausgesetzt, dass das Headbangers Open Air stattfindet, könne ich man vielleicht sogar die Band darum bitten, die Sachen dorthin mitzubringen und so das Porto ganz zu umgehen.

ich war noch nie auf dem UTH und kann es mir auch nicht im Moment vorstellen, da wir ähnliches auch hier haben und ich für ein Festival nicht unbedingt fliegen möchte. Aber ich respektiere zutiefst seine Arbeit und Hingabe und die seiner Crew, wie ich das auch bei all den anderen ähnlich gearteten Projekten stets tue. Drum würde ich gerne persönlich ne Kleinigkeit geben, da ich keine Shirts brauche von Events wo ich nicht war. Aber Bandcamp geht ja trotzdem, dann auf dem Weg, du hast ja recht, die brauchen das genauso grad, thanx.
